Firing cost is 40% of the retail greenware price.  For example, a piece of greenware that has a retail cost of $3.00 would cost $1.20 to fire it.  The cost of firing would be the same for glazes, lusters, and decals. 

Most firings are ready within 3 business days.  The number of days depends on the quantity that needs to be fired, other orders ahead of yours, and the weather.

Yes, we do fire greenware purchased from other businesses and/or poured by individuals.  All you have to do is bring in the receipt(s) or the retail price of the mold(s).  The firing cost is 50% of the retail greenware price.

Can't find your receipt, but you still need your piece(s) fired?  No problem!  We can work something out!

Payment is required at time of pickup.  If you would like to pay in advance that's okay too!

All pieces must have your name/initials on the bottom!  For example, you can carve your name/initials in the greenware and/or you can paint your name/initials with underglaze paint.  If using paint, make sure it can be fired!  Please note that pencil and permanent markers burn off in the firing process!

When dropping your piece(s) off, please let us know what needs to be done.  (Whether it is a greenware, glaze, luster, or decal firing!)

FOR YOUR SAFETY AND OURS PLEASE READ THE DIRECTIONS CAREFULLY WHEN APPLYING PRODUCTS!  GREENWARE IS CLAY (UNFIRED).  CONE 03-04 IS BISQUE (FIRED GREENWARE, WHITISH IN COLOR).  CONE 05-06 IS THE TEMPERATURE USED FOR A GLAZE FIRING. 

DO NOT APPLY GLAZES TO GREENWARE!  PROBLEMS WILL OCCUR!  FOR EXAMPLE, WHEN APPLIED TO GREENWARE, FOOD SAFE GLAZES WILL NOT BE FOOD SAFE.  THIS IS DO TO THE CHEMICALS THAT ARE RELEASED DURING THE FIRING PROCESS.  OTHER EXAMPLES ARE CRACKING, CRAZING, AND COLOR CHANGES TO THE FINISHED PRODUCT.  THEREFORE, ALL GREENWARE PIECES THAT ARE GOING TO BE GLAZED MUST BE FIRED FIRST TO CONE 03-04.  THEN, APPLY GLAZE AND FIRE TO CONE 05-06 RESULTING IN A TOTAL OF TWO FIRINGS.  DECALS/LUSTERS REQUIRE A TOTAL OF THREE FIRINGS.
